Attentive The International Film Festival in Winston Salem North Carolina. My son took us to this restaurant. This was my cousin and I first time. Beautiful cozy restaurant. Staff greet you as soon as you come. Our server was on point with suggestions and drinks. The drinks were good and strong. The food was excellent and so was the carrot π₯ cake. We'll be back again. There was plenty of parking.

Girls night out. We ordered the Halibut which was a special, it was exceptional. Cooked to perfection and was fresh. Also ordered was the chicken sandwich, steak and grilled meatloaf. All of it was good. Service was great. Definitely recommend reservations.

Wow! What a great restaurant! Traveling through North Carolina and we came across this amazing restaurant called the Village Tavern located at 221 Reynolda Village Way, Winston-Salem, NC. Parking lot was mostly full. I would guess well over 125-150 parking spaces. But we walked right in without any reservation and we were immediately greeted and seated. Tracie brought our drinks to us with smiles abounding. Within 10-12 minutes our meal was served and you were tickled under the nose with flavors from our pizza and Korean cauliflower. So the Crispy Korean Cauliflower was above and beyond comprehension with our taste buds. One of the craziest combinations of food and flavor weβve tried. Truly an amazing dish. The Tavern Pizza had just a few general pizza ingredients but the taste, crispy crust and smoked tastes were phenomenal! My wife and I shared both items and we were totally satisfied and impressed by the quality of food, the attention of our waitress and the beauty of the restaurant. A true gem. Thank you Village Tavern for an outstanding eating experience.

Not to be confused for the Village Tavern at Reynolda Village, which is a completely different restaurant. The Village Tavern at Hanes Mall Blvd. has excellent food but very rich, and the outdoor seating is a refreshing alternative to the darkly lit interior. Food: 4/5 The chicken soup was hearty and tasted a bit like a clam chowder but with chicken instead of clams. I believe they were going for the feel of a chicken pot pie. The salmon was decent and the spinach and green beans were cooked well, although they were drenched in a tad too much butter for my liking. The carrot cake served was about 3 times larger than I could eat in one sitting, and it was smothered in a copious amount of melted cream cheese frosting that made the large side of ice cream an afterthought. I kind of wished the ice cream could have been served on top and with less melted frosting, which had an unfamiliar texture. For the cake itself the dominant flavors were more so butter and honey than actual carrot; it was only after sitting in my fridge for a couple of days that the frosting solidified and more of the carrot flavor came through. It was a good cake though, just on the heavier side. Update: On a late
